Chicago Restaurant Week – Where to Eat!

Feb 14, 2012 by

For ten days, over 200 restaurants in Chicago (and its suburbs) will offer special prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33/$44 for dinner. Take this opportunity to discover new dining hot spots and re-visit a few of your favorites.

Participating restaurants may offer Restaurant Week menus for lunch, dinner or both – at their discretion.

It’s probably my favorite thing about Chicago winters. Well maybe my favorite eating ritual during the winter in Chicago. Check out the full list here.

If you haven’t already made reservations then you better get to it asap! If it’s a place like Naha or Blackbird then chances are that you won’t find a time slot but there are still great options to indulge yourself in!

If you’re a French cusine fan then this year has a great selection! My personal favorites are Cafe Des Architectes and Bistro Campagne

Union Sushi has upped the ante and offered a dinner menu for only $22.  If you like to make your own food then check out the menu for Gyu-Kaku, a Japanese BBQ joint.

The Bedford is delicious! Even if you can’t make it during restaurant week then check them out for their half of champagne & oysters. Another favorite of mine to go any time of the year is Terzo Piano! Steak is where it’s at at C-House.

Have you been watching Top Chef this season? 6 out of the 16 final contestants are from Chicago! This might be a good time to check out what those chefs are cooking in their home-town.

Funny how it worked out but Heather at Sable and Bev at Aria are the ones at restaurants participating in Restaurant Week. If I have to explain the humor behind it then you’re likely not a Top Chef fan.

Honestly, I’ve glanced at the list and almost all of the restaurants will not disappoint you so get eating! Besides, isn’t winter for over eating and layering?

You can make reservations via Open Table
